Hawaii

Nathan and I were able to go to Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary a few weeks ago. We had a great time! We got in on a Sunday night, and it gets dark around 6 there, so we didn't get to see anything that night. When we woke up in the morning, it was so peaceful and calm.... not things we are used to with 3 small children.

We rented a little house on the beach, it was small, but perfect for the two of us.

All we did the first day was to buy some groceries and we spent the rest of the day back at the house on the beach, snorkeling, and resting.

The second day we went to Pearl Harbor and Waikiki beach. This is the ship under the water.

Here is the wall with all of the names of the men and women who died that day.

Here is a beautiful picture of me at Waikiki beach.

Looking down the beach.

The sunrise the next morning. The mornings are some of our best memories. We woke up early every day, mostly because of the time change.

Our breakfast of fresh pineapple and an omlet, with kona coffee. Yum......

We happened upon a beach called "Lani Beach" by the locals, and it is a major spot for turtles to come to eat the seaweed. We came here twice because it was so much fun.

The turtles come right up to you, and dont mind it you pet them. The girls would have had a blast here!

This is a great picture of this beach. It is one of my favorite memories!

A nice lady took our picture for us.

This sums up our trip... totally relaxed.

We got in a few walks at night on the beach, it was really calm, since it is a semi private beach, there are a few homes on the beach around us, but we didn't really see any of them on the beach.

Another great sunrise greeting us as we woke up.

Hawaii update 2

The second half of the trip we spent alot of time hiking up to waterfalls. This hike was quite the adventure, we got lost, and it was way longer and steeper than we had expected.

Wandering around in a huge opening in the rain forest.

I set the camera to timer and got an ok picture on the second try. This valley behind us was really amazing. You cant really see from the picture, but it was huge, and so beautiful!

We finally made it to the falls, it was gorgeous! We climbed up and there were two more falls with pools above it.

This shows the scale of it better, I am up at the top. Some locals came and they jumped from some ledges twice as high as I am in this picture. It was very deep in some spots.

A picture of me in my bikini.

We went out to dinner only twice during the 8 days. Most days we stayed at the house and barbequed on the beach. Nathan took more pictures of me on this trip than the whole last year! I guess thats what happens when there are not kiddos everywhere to take pictures of!!!

A small falls and pool on the way to the next falls. I didn't get any pictures of the big falls with this camera, only the underwater camera, and I am still waiting to get the pictures transfered to digital. It was alot of fun though. I will put them up when I get that done.

Walking through the rainforest again to the 3rd falls.

This was so tall, I couldn't get it all in the picture, this is probably about half of it. it was beautiful! It was illegal to swim in this one though. Bummer!

My mom came to watch the girls while we were away, they had such a great time they didn't even miss us!!!

THANKS GRANDMA RITA!!!!

Sarahs Birthday Party

Sarah had a sleepover for her birthday party. She wanted to watch the new Diamond Castle barbie movie on the big tv. The girls had so much fun!

I have a lot going on right now, so her cake was pretty simple. She didn't seem to care. These are the puppies from the Barbie movie.

All the girls got to decorate their own cupcakes. They were really beautiful!!!

All the girls got involved in opening the presents. Luckily, Sarah is used to sharing, so she was fine with it!

Karlie and Rylee trying to get the presents out of the sack. It was a group effort.

They all loved the movie, but didn't fall asleep as quickly as I had hoped.

The next morning, they all had a great time coloring, then they wanted to watch the movie again!

Last week

Heather decided that she CAN write her name. She does great!

Sarah got a new shirt for "yellow day" at school.

She was very proud of her ribbon.

Painting theGirls Room

I got really brave and let the girls help paint the flowers and bugs on their walls. Sarah did a great job of course.

Molly wanted to paint a "lady dug" and a butterfly. This is what it looks like after I fixed it.

Heather painted last, so I got pictures of her painting. She did a great job!

Sarah started Kindergarten on Tuesday. She loved it! Her teacher is Mrs. Mahoney. She is very nice, Sarah told me today that she is her "teacher friend".

All the girls were up at 6:00. They were so excited.

Nathan gets to take Sarah to school on his way to work, Sarah is loving their "special time".

Do you think she is happy????

All ready to go!

I got to pick Sarah up. This is the door to her classroom.

Sarah and Heather missed each other. Heather thinks she is ready for kindergarten too, except she doesn't want to go, because she doesn't want to get "poked" ~ She will have to have some more immunizations before kindergarten.

Her school is pronounced Day-lard.

Mrs. Mahoney. Sarah gets a good girl card each day she follows the rules, after 12, she gets to pick a prize. I think she is going to be the teachers pet.

Sarah on her second day.
